Get to know us!

Hello friends and fellow explorers! We are so excited you are here to share in our adventures.

Before we met, we both were avid travelers. Bryan’s preferred adventures were primitive, off grid, in remote areas and with very little planning. Imagine Naked and Afraid meets Survivor. Shauna’s adventures usually involved luxury hotels with room service and spa treatments.

While our two styles might seem like polar opposites, the combination of both have made for a perfect yin-yang partnership. Our travels are a combination of trips well planned out (Shauna’s) or flying by the seat of our pants and seeing where the day takes us (Bryan’s.)

We are avid road trippers and living in San Diego provides us with a great jumping off point for quick trips to the mountains, the beach, the desert, Mexico, the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest.

With full time jobs, we are often time-strapped and eager to make the most of our time off. Whether it’s for a day trip, a weekend or a few days here and there, we make sure to make the most of the time we have.

Our blog will give a rundown of the places we visit, how to get off the beaten path and highlight the best hiking, fishing, sight-seeing and of course eating.

We hope you enjoy following us around and that our adventures will  bring you some laughs, some joy and inspire you to get out, travel and explore.
